JOB TITLE (#2859): Director of Nursing / Hospice - Basking Ridge, NJ
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Registered Nurse
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Director of Nursing to fill an opening with a Skilled Nursing Facility located in Basking Ridge, New Jersey
Requirements of the Director of Nursing / Hospice:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an RN.
- Must have a BSN or MSN
- Must have 3+ years of hands-on Hospice experience.
- Must have supervisory experience of at least 2 years, unless a candidate demonstrates a robust history in Hospice care.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in home community-based services, although consideration will be given to those without this background
- Essential requirement: Previous experience in Hospice care as an RN or BSN.

- The salary for this position is $110 / hr

Schedule of the Director of Nursing / Hospice:
- This is a Full-time position
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Shift: In office 9 am – 5 pm with some flexibility – there will be some on-call duties
- Some client visits around town – home community-based services work
Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing / Hospice:
- The Director of Nursing oversees the planning, supervision, and administration of nursing services in a hospice setting. This includes coordinating nursing services with other hospice disciplines, developing communication protocols, creating job descriptions, and ensuring nursing services align with patient care plans.
- Planning and Implementation:
- Provide direction, supervision, and consultation to the clinical team.
- Assists in overseeing nursing, hospice aide, social work, counseling, and therapy services.
- Develop goals, objectives, and activities for hospice service delivery.
- Participates in program planning and policy development.
- Human Resource Management:
- Assists with hiring, termination, and staffing patterns.
- Conducts performance evaluations and provides feedback.
- Ensures adequate staffing levels and supervision for clinical personnel.
- Fiscal Management:
- Manages staffing to match patient needs and agency resources.
- Coordinates with referral services and manages staffing for optimal patient care.
- Leadership:
- Maintains knowledge of hospice principles and practices.
- Establishes relationships with other hospice agencies and professionals.
- Represents the agency in external meetings and presentations.
- Resource Utilization:
- Manages caseload to deliver cost-effective care.
- Participates in on-call services and complies with regulations.
- Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement (QAPI):
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and participates in performance monitoring.
- Utilizes problem-solving techniques to address concerns.
- Essential Skills:
- Demonstrates critical thinking, interpersonal sensitivity, and effective communication.
- Exhibits conflict resolution skills and dementia sensitivity.
