GENERAL PURPOSE:
Provides primary leadership to activities related to the selection and yield of MS students. Functions as a senior admissions officer for the Simon School’s MS program. Markets the School’s programs to groups and to individuals; interviews candidates and makes admissions and financial aid decisions; travels internationally and domestically for recruitment purposes; and researches and writes reports for program assessment.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Staff management and team leadership – oversee Admissions full-time staff that support interviewing, admission committee and enrollment, as well as multiple student workers. Provides ongoing training in admissions operations to Associate or Assistant Directors and administrative support staff, including periodic documentation of procedures. Serves as a liaison between Admissions Management Team and MS Territory Managers. **(25%)**
+ Executes strategy for annual enrollment goals for all full-time MS programs and online program, by working closely with the Executive Director on the balancing the overall number of enrolled students with quality metrics such as GMAT, GPA, level of prior work experience, gender and international diversity, financial aid budget, net revenue goals. Utilizes forecasting tools to determine admission decisions and predict future enrollments. Accountable for meeting enrollment and financial net revenue targets. Leads the Admissions Committee in the review of all applications for admission and scholarship, recommends decisions, communicates decision to candidates, and counsels students as appropriate. **(25%)**
+ Interviews and evaluates candidates for admission; assesses and communicates admission requirements; requires significant knowledge of the Simon School and independent judgment to assess the qualities of each candidate. **(10%)**
+ Leads the annual off-campus recruiting travel process, including coordinating with other Admissions staff to assign travelers, oversee pre-travel training, update of materials, scheduling appointments with prospective students and managing the travel budget. **(10%)**
+ Travels for recruiting purposes to MBA forums both internationally and domestically and to undergraduate colleges. Markets the Simon Business School and makes formal presentations to groups of prospective applicants and key influencers. **(10%)**
+ Uses admission system data to assess program success/direction: gathers, aggregates and interprets data; writes reports and participates in outside surveys. **(10%)**
+ Lead liaison for MS program onboarding process and program planning, including Orientation planning, engagement with the University ISO, vaccine compliance and other key duties as assigned. **(5%)**
+ Serves as the lead Admissions representative on Faculty committees that oversee MS program review and program management. Serve as the Admissions liaison on the Master’s Advisory Council (MAC) student group. **(5%)**
**REQUIREMENTS:**
Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years admissions experience required; 7-10 years of work experience in admissions or related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree and working knowledge of MS business program strongly preferred; experience with Simon Business School programs strongly preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills, people management and leadership skills, and cultural awareness and sensitivity required. Valid NYS motor vehicle license and passport are necessary.

**Pay Range**
Pay Range: $ 68,400 - $102,600 Annually

Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._
