Director of Membership Sales and Marketing
Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Director of Membership Sales and Marketing to join our prestigious club. Key Responsibilities
Membership Growth
- Lead membership recruitment efforts by developing and executing strategic initiatives to attract new members.
- Build and maintain a robust prospect pipeline through personal outreach, networking, and referrals from existing members.
- Host and coordinate membership tours, events, and one-on-one meetings with prospective members.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns that showcase the unique value of club membership.
Member Engagement & Retention
- Cultivate strong relationships with current members to ensure high levels of satisfaction and engagement.
- Implement programs and initiatives to foster a sense of community and belonging among members.
- Address member inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor and analyze member feedback to recommend improvements to the overall member experience.
Administrative Oversight
- Maintain accurate membership records, including applications, status changes, and renewals.
- Prepare monthly reports on membership metrics and trends for leadership and the Membership Committee.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of member communications, including newsletters, emails, and website updates.
- Manage membership budget and ensure alignment with financial goals.
Events & Community Building
- Collaborate with the Events team to plan and execute activities that encourage member participation and promote club culture.
- Organize new member orientations, welcome events, and other initiatives to ensure seamless integration into the club community.
- Serve as an ambassador at club events, building rapport with members and guests alike.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in membership sales, hospitality, or a related field.
- Proven success in membership recruitment, sales, or retention strategies, preferably in a private club or luxury hospitality environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational abilities, with keen attention to detail and proficiency in membership management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Base Salary Range: $85,000-95,000 annual
Commission potential of $30,000 based on 2025 budget goals.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree; or 3-5 years of related experience.
CRM, POS, and other standard software systems
Physical Demands:
Typical office environment, occasionally stands and walks, frequently sits. Typically requires routine use of personal computer and general office equipment.
Environment/Noise:
Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
No certifications or licenses are required.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences
Ability to read and speak English in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates are required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
Exceptional organizations skills; maintains accuracy and neatness; ability to multitask.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to accurately type at least 50 words per minute.
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to compose letters and to facilitate phone calls and general inquiries sensibly.
