We are seeking an exceptional club professional with experience in Membership and Operations to join a prestigious private club in the greater Portland area. This is an incredible opportunity to take on a leadership role in a vibrant and welcoming community known for its breathtaking natural beauty and high quality of life.
This position may also be suitable for Hotel or Resort Directors of Sales & Marketing who have a background in Operations.
Big Picture:
Lead with Impact: Take charge of membership engagement, recruitment, and retention. Develop and execute a comprehensive membership strategy in collaboration with the General Manager and Board of Directors.
Be a Community Ambassador: Serve as the face of the club, building relationships with members and prospective members. You'll have the opportunity to create unforgettable experiences and enrich lives.
Drive Innovation: Implement cutting-edge marketing and communication strategies to enhance member engagement and grow the club’s presence in the community.
Career Growth: This role is perfect for someone with long-terms plans to become a GM in the golf and country club industry. You’ll be working closely with the General Manager and Leadership Team, gaining experience across all aspects of club operations.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and execute strategic membership plans, focusing on recruitment and retention.
Craft compelling internal and external marketing materials, including digital and print campaigns.
Conduct engaging tours and presentations for prospective members, showcasing the club’s unique offerings.
Collaborate with the Membership Committee and serve as the primary point of contact for all membership-related inquiries.
Support the General Manager in various aspects of club management, including strategic planning, facility improvements, and event programming.
Train, develop, and lead the operations management teams across golf and food & beverage.
What We’re Looking For:
A bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field.
At least five years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably within a private club setting.
A passion for providing exceptional service and a strong desire to create memorable member experiences.
Proficiency in CRM systems and a solid understanding of sales and marketing principles.
A team player with the ability to lead and inspire others, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
