This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead and transform our medical management department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact on patient care and outcomes while working with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the daily operations of the medical management department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
2. Develop and implement effective strategies for medical management, including cost containment, quality improvement, and utilization review.
3. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
4. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and improve outcomes.
5. Oversee the credentialing functions, ensuring that all healthcare providers meet the necessary qualifications and standards.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including insurance companies and regulatory agencies.
7. Monitor and analyze performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
8. Provide leadership and direction to the medical management team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
9. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the medical industry, applying this knowledge to the management of the department.
Qualifications:
1. Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field. A Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field is preferred.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical management, with a proven track record of success.
4. Extensive knowledge of medical management principles and practices, including cost containment, quality improvement, and utilization review.
5. Experience with credentialing functions, ensuring that all healthcare providers meet the necessary qualifications and standards.
6. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
8. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
9. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
10. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
