How You Will Make an Impact?

Based out of our corporate headquarters, the Director of Marketing and Product Management drives the progression of new business. This position is responsible for overseeing, developing and employing the Product Marketing and Communications and Product Development strategies and initiatives that will profitably increase revenue and market share.

The Nuts and Bolts

Provide product development leadership in order to grow business opportunities and revenue

Pioneer and implement measurable marketing and sales strategies and programs that profitably increase revenue and grow the brand and market share

Work closely with the Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Operations and Finance staff to support a wide range of business development activities

Lead the product development and product plan process

Plan and execute well-performing and well-coordinated product launches of new and existing products

Develop and execute transactions to support the business by performing market analysis, identifying targets, presenting the opportunity and structuring/negotiating deals

Work closely with Sales Directors to enhance and align sales efforts

Provide effective leadership and ensure all marketing programs are successful, metrics-driven and goal-oriented

Develop strategies for lead generation -- client identification, client screening

Develop relationships with primary decision makers on the project initiation level

Create business models, analyzing financial, market and environmental risks

Identify, qualify and develop new and existing customer opportunities for the accomplishment of company sales objectives.

Lead the sales effort in positioning outsourced business processes to acquire new customers and expand across existing customers.

Conduct and compile competitive analysis for price points and costs to build business cases for new products, (to include market size, segmentation, products, channels, etc.)

Develop channel, segment and market strategies to enable targeted marketing

Establish a best-in-class social, digital and web presence that drives customer awareness, engagement, affinity and purchase/market share growth

Drive incremental Customer Value through management of all promotional spend

Effectively lead all product marketing, marketing communications and public relations

Required Credentials

Master's degree - MBA preferred
Minimum of 8 years of product development / marketing experience within transportation industry (preferred, but not required)
5 years of prior experience in product management
Demonstrated expertise in business planning
Demonstrated track record of development and execution of creative, innovative marketing and sales strategies to meet both long and short-term objectives
Experience driving significant revenue and profit with a small team of marketing specialists
Ability to work within a limited budget and ability to pivot quickly

Powerful presentation abilities
Experience with digital marketing, business strategy and analytics
Experience with successful commercialization of new products
Demonstrated strength in conceptual strategy and execution while still maintaining a roll-up-your-sleeves management style
Experience leading and influencing across diverse groups, communicating goals, plans and strategy across all channels
Extensive experience in market and channel analysis to drive decisions and measure performance

You Must Be Able to

Working in an office environment in a seated position a minimum of eight hours per day is required. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion.

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
