CD Peacock, established in 1837, is a renowned and prestigious jeweler located in Chicago. With a rich history spanning 186 years, CD Peacock has consistently delivered exquisite craftsmanship and exceptional service to its discerning clientele. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Marketing to help lead our marketing efforts and continue to elevate the CD Peacock brand.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with our brand's heritage, values, and growth objectives.
- Work with a team of marketing professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive the brand's visibility, customer engagement, and business expansion.
- Strategic Leadership. Implement marketing strategies that enhance brand recognition, customer loyalty, and revenue growth while staying true to the legacy of CD Peacock.
- Team Management. Work with a team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Brand Development. Define and refine the brand's positioning, messaging, and visual identity to resonate with both current and prospective customers.
- Digital Marketing. Oversee the digital marketing strategy, including social media, email marketing, SEO, and SEM, to drive online traffic, engagement, and conversions.
- Advertising and Promotion. Plan and execute effective advertising campaigns, promotions, and events to showcase the brand's offerings and attract a diverse customer base.
- Public Relations. Cultivate relationships with media, influencers, and industry partners to secure favorable coverage and partnerships that enhance brand reputation.
- Market Research. Assess industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Analytics and Reporting. Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies.
- Brand Relationships. Work with CD Peacock’s partner brands to effectively communicate their marketing goals and communicate their identity to clients while maintaining CD Peacock’s messaging. Assist with planning and implementing co-op plans in partnership with the Vice President of Marketing.
- Financial Planning. Excellent budget and organization skills. In-depth knowledge of how to plan and track marketing spend.
- Agency Management. Serve as a liaison between agency partners and the owners to assist with aligning goals, strategy, and implementation of plans.
Qualifications
- Higher Education (college degree; bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field) is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven track record of at least 7 years in marketing roles, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience in luxury goods, jewelry, or high-end retail sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and e-commerce.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and the ability to drive results.
- Positive attitude and collaborative spirit.
- Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and data-driven decision-making.
- A passion for jewelry, luxury, and craftsmanship is a plus.
- Must be able to work at least 40-45 hours per week.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs.
