We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Licensing and Partnerships to lead and expand our brand collaborations. This role is pivotal in identifying and securing new partnership and licensing opportunities that align with our brand's aesthetic and values, as well as managing legal agreements and renewals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Brand Alignment
- Opportunity Identification: Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for licensing and partnerships, prioritizing collaborations that align with Rifle Paper Co.’s aesthetic, ethos, and business goals.
- Brand Integrity: Evaluate potential partners and product categories to ensure they complement and elevate the Rifle Paper Co. brand.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Merchandising, Planning, Brand Strategy and Product Design to identify and align opportunities.
- Innovation Leadership: Act as a thought leader in exploring new product categories, market opportunities, and distribution channels.
Partnership Development & Management
- Cultivate relationships with current partners, fostering long-term collaboration and mutual growth.
- Pursue and secure new partnerships, negotiating terms that support creative alignment and business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to launch and market partner products effectively.
Financial Oversight & Reporting
- Manage financial projections, track revenue streams, and ensure that licensing programs meet profitability targets.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of licensing performance, providing actionable insights to optimize results.
- Negotiate financial terms that maximize outcomes for both Rifle Paper Co. and its partners.
Legal & Contractual Management
- Oversee all aspects of contract negotiation with both legal teams, execution, and renewal, ensuring terms meet strategic and legal requirements
- Support IP (copyright infringement and dispute resolution).
- Maintain meticulous records of agreements and compliance to avoid risks.
Market Trends & Competitive Analysis
- Stay ahead of industry trends, identifying emerging opportunities and assessing competitive activity to inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA a plus.
- 7–10 years of experience in licensing, partnerships, or business development, with a proven track record of securing and managing successful collaborations.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in forecasting, budget management, and revenue analysis.
- Expertise in negotiating and drafting licensing agreements.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically while managing details with precision.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
