POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Learning & Development is responsible for the planning, organizing, leading and supervising for management and field operations training for the Earl Enterprise family of brands. You will be the driving force behind our learning solutions and will be responsible for implementing the learning strategies and comprehensive development programs for our restaurants. You should be an expert in building and implementing L&D programs within an LMS (preferably Wisetail) for all points of service and new hire training in print and digital format and rolling out POS and back office systems (Toast and R365 preferred) and associated learning.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials within our LMS.
- Assess the company’s L&D needs and reimagine, develop, and implement training programs and L&D resources, guidelines, and materials for all levels of employees.
- Create high-quality, scalable learning experiences for a diverse audience and new ways to engage team members in their own training and development.
- Continuously maintain LMS.
- Collaborate with Operations to develop and train our new Store Managers in the field and conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions with our field teams.
- Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Purchasing to develop training guides needed for menu changes, LTOs, and the like
- Partner with IT to implement, training, and program Toast POS and R365 back office system and other tech stack related partners
- Partner with the CHRO to identify training strategies and goals for the organization and to develop career-pathing, performance enhancement, and organizational design guidance and materials.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 8-10 years of Learning & Development experience, including developing and implementing learning programs in a growing and fast-paced restaurant company.
- Experience with all elements of our Tech Stack – Toast POS, Restaurant365 BOH, OLO, Bite kiosks.
- Experience with Wisetail LMS
- Experience with a multi-unit QSR or Full Service restaurant organization is required.
- Full L&D project life-cycle management experience.
- A positive attitude and team-player approach with a demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated technical experience integrating new learning technologies with more traditional learning settings (e.g., leveraging classroom style, one on one, and virtual environments).
