Overview:
The Director of Laboratory Sales and Account Management will lead our sales team and drive growth in our laboratory services company. They will possess a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a demonstrated history of successfully managing a sales and account management team.
Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and oversee the strategic sales and account management plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Manage and mentor a team of sales and account management professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to enhance their performance and achieve sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understand their needs, and drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Ensure account onboarding processes and strategies are followed to ensure
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape, informing sales strategies and ensuring the company's market position.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior management and making data-driven and field-based recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with other departments, including laboratory staff, billing and operations, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives and account management.
- Oversee the sales budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize return on investment and support business growth.
- Travel up to 50%, including overnight stays, to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support sales team activities.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies, maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism.
- Actively supports and complies with all components of the Company compliance program, including, but not limited to, completion of training and reporting of suspected violations of law and Company policy.
- Maintains confidentiality of all information; always abides with HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
- To work remotely, it is expected you will have a reliable, nonpublic high-speed internet connection with sufficient bandwidth to participate in all work-related activities. Any interruptions in service should be immediately reported to your manager.
- Reacts positively to change and performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years relevant work experience.
- 5+ years managing a sales team within the healthcare or laboratory services industry.
- 5+ years account management experience in the healthcare or laboratory services industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management and employees.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Experience with CRM, preferably Salesforce
- Must be able to meet deadlines and have strong computer skills. (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Travel 50%, including overnight stays.
- Ability to work independently and with other team members.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented and self-motivated.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Anticipate needs in a proactive manner to increase satisfaction.
