Location: near Oxford, North Carolina

If so, an opportunity to work with an integrated health care system based in Central North Carolina is looking for someone to join their team. The system is a for-profit and has over 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers throughout the area.
The system is the largest provider in a six county region and a primary referral center. It offers a higher level of service than what is typically found in a community of its size including open-heart surgery, trauma care, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit, neurosurgery and comprehensive cancer services. SUMMARY:
The Nursing Director for PCU/ICU department is the first line manager designated for this specific nursing area, its patient population, and assigned staff. The Nursing Director has 24 hour responsibility for unit’s activity. Plans, coordinates, directs the fiscal, personnel and patient care activities to assure the standards of care and standards of practice are met as appropriate for the patient care needs and the age of the patient in as cost effective manner as possible. Responsible for integration of the nursing area (s) into the overall functioning of the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Education
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
Previous supervisory experience in nursing ICU/ PCU required.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Current clinical competence in area relevant to patient population.
Certifications/License
Current unencumbered multistate or North Carolina Nursing License. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
The range is between $100,000-$136,500, plus a full benefit package.
