Role Description: TheDirector of Human Resources, Talent and Culture is responsible for creating and executing strategies that impact the team. He/she/they is conscious of restaurant culture, in-tune with employee performance levels and opportunities, and aware of the growth of the business as it pertains to capacity of the team and the future addition of roles. This individual is responsible for overseeing training, recruiting, onboarding, and all other restaurant personnel needs. This candidate will have vast experience in HR pratices such as disciplinary notices, evaluations, break periods, garnishments and more. The Director of Human Resources, Talent and Culture embodies and fosters the culture and vision of the Operator.
The Director of Human Resources, Talent and Culture is responsible for:
Proper recruitment and onboarding
- Actively managing and filling vacancies on the team with goals to stabilize workforce, reduce turnover and increase retention rate
- Reviewing all applications for employment, coordinating and scheduling interviews with respective Directors (BOH, FOH, Operations)
- Overseeing the administration of benefits for the team, including: vacation, retirement, health insurance, wellness, and other benefits
- Conducting orientation with a focus on core values, our commitment to service, and Chick-fil-A culture
- Responsible with ensuring corrective actions and performance reviews are administered fairly and consistently, including proper documentation
- Enforcing critical components of the Employee Handbook and Development Manual
Leading the training program for the restaurant, including:
- Tracking Team Member training progress, both hands on and on online platforms
- Evaluating and certifying Trainers
- Leveraging lessons learned and data to drive bi-annual focus leadership workshops to continuously improve the team’s performance and culture
- Continually monitoring performance measurement tools to identify and address gaps in training
Developing our Team Members and leadership in an intentional way
- Create and execute a plan for developing the team. Implement systems to ensure the happiness/ fulfillment of the team is intentional
- Coach the team on a daily basis in an intentional way. Focus on building trust and leveraging that trust to build reviews
- Retaining staff by Team Member and Leader engagement.
- Managing intentional systems around daily food safety and food quality evaluations, providing weekly reports to leadership
- Leveraging data to drive results and further improve future training

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
- Experience in leadership development and talent management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
