What you'll do
- Stand-up and Evolve the HR Solutions Excellence function in alignment with Gibraltar talent strategy to deliver adaptable, efficient, and proven solutions to multiple discreet businesses with broadly distributed diverse workforces.
- Ensure HR solutions comply with relevant laws and regulations, including governance of employment policies. Facilitate immigration cases, affirmative action plans and applicable federal contractor filings (e.g. EEO-1).
- Manage HR service delivery for Gibraltar Corporate workforce including supporting leaders with talent acquisition, performance management and succession planning.
- Act as a trusted partner to HR Generalists and HR Leaders within each business including direct engagement on employee relations as needed and serving as contingency for HR Generalist vacancies.
- Develop and deliver standard reports with key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance and resource requirements of HR solutions.
- Resolve foundational training or technology gaps for deployed enterprise-wide talent systems including talent acquisition, time management, reporting, etc.
- Manage third-party relationships for shared service providers including employment verification, background check, unemployment, and sourcing channels.
- Partner with Talent and Total Rewards Centers of Excellence to deliver on-going learning opportunities for HR Generalists.
- Create and conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to standards and regulations within each business. Partner with internal and external teams as warranted.
- Orchestrate easy-to-use information channels and record retention protocols.
- Lead team member(s), initial scope one full-time position with expansion over time as business needs evolve.
What we need
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in HR Generalist or Business Partner capacity with at least 5 years in the US industrial sector. Experience in both manufacturing and corporate settings strongly preferred.
- Prior direct managerial experience required.
- Keen knowledge of HR operations, including employee relations and compliance.
- Prior experience in a shared services team strongly preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize and deliver results for diverse set of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in UKG technology platform preferred.
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Domestic travel up to 25%.
