Job Summary: OPSPro specializes in providing small businesses and government contractors with compliance and operational support to include HR, Payroll, Accounting, Contracting, and IT. The Director of Human Resources is a full-time, remote position. The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the development, management, and administration of human resources including employment law, compliance reporting, policy and procedures, benefits and compensation, employee relations, and training and development.

- Continuously learns and applies strong working knowledge and application of federal government contracting HR requirements to include DOL, OFCCP and FAR.
- Provides and applies expertise and specialized support for clients across all HR functions to include, but not limited to, compensation and benefits, employee relations, regulatory compliance, leave administration, recruiting and retention, performance management, and training and development.
- Advise clients on policy matters including sexual harassment, EEO opportunities, and make recommendations as needed.
- Provides clients with management coaching on employee related issues such as performance improvement, employment law, employee relations (grievance and discipline) and terminations.
- Analyze statistical data to identify the cause of personnel problems, develop PIP, and create best practices and policies.
- Oversees clients' Affirmative Action Plans and Programs (AAPs) including compliance with reporting and record retention requirements to conform to regulations such as OFCCP, EEO and VEVRAA.
- Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws applicable to all HR functions.
- Creates HR policies and procedures for new and existing clients, communicates required changes and interprets new policies to employees, managers, and clients.
- Maintains a strong ability to establish and foster positive relationships with employees, managers, executives, and clients at all levels of the organization while maintaining extreme confidentiality.
- Assists with succession plan management and administration.
- Examines business plans and determines future staffing.
- Manages training and performance development plans for clients.
- Manages total compensation plans for clients.
- Creates and participates in employee engagement initiatives.
- Establishes and maintains trusting and lasting relationships with external customers.
- Drive business development efforts to expand and enhance revenue for the Human Resources department.
- Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote our company and services.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or similar work experience required.
- 10+ years of experience in progressively responsible human resource roles.
- 7+ years of experience in Employee Relations.
- 7+ years of experience in policy writing.
- 7+ years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- 3+ years of federal government contracting HR experience.
- Experience with multiple HR Information Systems, preferably iSolved.
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work in face paced environment and under pressure.
- Ability to meet goals while working under limited supervision.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience.
- Proven organization skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining timeliness and accuracy.
- Working knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA) experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a multiple external client environment.
- Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) experience.
- iSolved/HRIS implementation and administration experience.
- SPHR/PHR certification.
