Job Overview
The Hospitality Director oversees the daily operations of beachfront amenities and café services, ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role combines expertise in food and beverage management with hospitality operations to provide a seamless and enjoyable environment for residents and guests.
Essential Responsibilities
Café Operations
- Oversee all food and beverage services, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
- Plan menus in collaboration with culinary staff, monitor inventory, and control costs.
- Hire, train, and manage café staff, fostering a high-performance, guest-focused team.
- Ensure café ambiance aligns with the brand, maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.
Beachfront Management
- Supervise beach operations, including setup and maintenance of guest seating, umbrellas, and recreational equipment.
- Ensure safety announcements and adherence to safety protocols across all beach facilities.
- Manage inventory for beachfront equipment and report or replace damaged items promptly.
- Coordinate beachfront events and activities, including setup and breakdown as required.
Hospitality Leadership
- Deliver exceptional guest services, addressing inquiries, concerns, or complaints professionally and promptly.
- Develop and implement service improvement initiatives based on guest feedback.
- Serve as the primary liaison between departments to ensure a cohesive guest experience.
- Enforce safety and environmental policies, ensuring a secure and enjoyable environment.
Administrative Duties
- Monitor budgets, labor costs, and financial goals for café and beachfront operations.
- Prepare reports on daily activities, financial performance, and guest satisfaction metrics.
- Act as the Manager on Duty (MOD) when required, ensuring all areas operate efficiently.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of combined experience in food and beverage management and hospitality operations.
- Experience with beachfront or resort facilities is highly desirable.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) laws.
- Proficient in handling guest relations with tact and professionalism.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and work in an upright position for extended periods.
- Capability to navigate beachfront areas, climb stairs, and respond to emergencies quickly.
