Job Summary and Qualifications
The Director of Quality Management and Medical Staff Services manages the facility's quality and performance improvement (PI) programs, including outcomes analysis. Promotes performance improvement staff education and development. Ensures appropriate and timely medical staff operations and activities including appropriateness and completeness of Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, Regulations, Policies, and Procedures.
- You will implement and manage quality activities throughout the facility including peer review, quality initiatives and other PI activities.
- You will perform annual quality and PI program evaluation and reporting. You will Develops, revises, and implements quality and PI plan.
- You will serve as a quality resource to all departments, staff, etc.
- You will maintain and coordinate quality and PI report cards, dashboards, and other reporting mechanisms.
- You will serve as a member of selected facility and departmental PI committees, and teams.
- You will serve as Quality Facilitator/Leader of root cause analysis teams, (RCAs), FMEAs, etc.
- You will analyze and report quality and PI indicators to the Quality Management Committee, Administration, and others as indicated.
- You will ensure compliance of corporate, regulatory, and accreditation requirements for quality, performance improvement, and patient safety.
- You will serve as a representative to selected Partnership and other quality committees, initiatives, etc.
- You will coordinate quality activities with the Quality Review Coordinator and other staff.
- You will manage and guide physician peer review activities with the Quality Review Coordinator and Chief Medical Officer.
- You will manage Quality Management Committee activities through the coordination of the agenda, and oversee minutes, reports, and other activities of the Committee.
- You will Manage patient safety, national, corporate, and other quality or patient safety initiatives.
- You will lead and facilitate designated initiatives.
- You will provide education to staff regarding quality and patient safety initiatives; promote compliance and improvement.
- You will be responsible for data analysis, collection, and outcome measures
- You will manage the processing and completeness of medical staff and allied health professional applications for appointment, reappointment, or privileges in accordance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations, and policies and procedures.
- You will ensure and maintain compliance with all medical staff and allied health professional requirements and operations.
- You will maintain daily departmental operations
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
- Ten years experience in healthcare or five years experience in Quality.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Registered Nurse (RN) preferred upon hire or obtained within 2 years of hire
