We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Permanent Director of Grant Administration. This role is pivotal in our organization, playing a key role in ensuring we secure and manage the necessary funding to continue and expand our life-changing medical research and services. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with a strong background in financial and grant management, and a proven track record in securing both federal and local grants.
Responsibilities:
As the Permanent Director of Grant Administration, your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all aspects of grant administration, including identification, application, management, and reporting of federal, state, and local grants.
2. Developing and implementing grant management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with funding requirements.
3. Collaborating with department heads and senior management to identify funding needs and align them with appropriate grant opportunities.
4. Tracking and reporting on grant proposals, awards, and expenditures to ensure financial accountability and compliance.
5. Preparing and presenting monthly reports on grant activities, outcomes, and financial status to senior management and stakeholders.
6. Building and maintaining relationships with funding agencies and partners to ensure ongoing funding opportunities.
7. Providing guidance and training to staff on grant application and management processes.
8. Participating in strategic planning and budgeting processes, providing input on potential grant funding opportunities and requirements.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Director of Grant Administration role will have:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management and grant administration, preferably in the medical industry.
3. Proven success in securing federal and local grants.
4. Extensive knowledge of grant application processes, compliance requirements, and reporting procedures.
5. Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to develop budgets, track expenditures, and prepare financial reports.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information to a variety of audiences.
7. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and grant management software.
