Director of Fund Development Essential Job Duties-The qualified candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in fund development or equal experience in relationship marketing/sales/communications. A Certified Fund-Raising Executive certification (CFRE) is preferred, but not required. Annual fund-raising experience is required. In addition, the qualified candidate will have an undergraduate degree in business or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.

- Responsible for leading fundraising efforts.
- With the Executive Director, develop, implement, manage and evaluate a strategic and comprehensive development plan including any/all of the following: capital gifts, special events, annual gifts, major gifts and planned gifts.
- Identify top prospects locally, regionally and nationally.
- Manage relationships with the members of the team and Board of Directors.
- Conduct, prospect, research, and cultivate relationships with donors and prospective donors.
- Responsible for keeping donor database and mailing lists current. Familiarize with the Blackbaud CRM system.
- Present programs, conduct tours, and educate individuals about the Family Peace Center programs and giving opportunities.
- Research and write private grants as needed.
- Work closely with the event committee.
- Work on special projects as assigned.
- Complete the Domestic Violence Training.
