We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Director of Fleet Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our fleet operations, including safety operations, maintenance, compliance, and strategic planning. This position requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our diverse fleet of construction vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities:
As the Director of Fleet Operations, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and managing all aspects of our fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, safety, compliance, and strategic planning.
2. Developing and implementing comprehensive fleet management programs and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
3. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to fleet operations and safety.
4. Collaborating with other department heads to align fleet operations with overall business objectives and goals.
5. Conducting regular audits and inspections of fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in optimal condition and meet all safety standards.
6. Developing and managing the fleet operations budget, including forecasting and tracking of expenses.
7. Implementing effective strategies for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
8. Providing leadership and guidance to the fleet operations team, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and productivity.
9. Keeping abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in fleet operations and safety.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Director of Fleet Operations position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet operations management, preferably in the construction industry.
2. Proven experience with safety operations, including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
3. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
4. Excellent strategic planning and organizational skills, with a focus on operational efficiency and cost reduction.
5. Strong knowledge of fleet management software and technologies.
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to team members, stakeholders, and senior management.
8. A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
