Growing P&C Insurance Company seeking a technical accountant with specific yellow book stat reporting experience.

This role requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting or related field.
Job Details
As a Consulting Director of Financial Reporting, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. STAT Reporting (Yellow Book)
2. Design process flows and implement controls
3. Write technical accounting memos
4. Leading, mentoring, and developing the financial reporting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
5. Coordinating with the internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
6. Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting.
7. Identifying opportunities for process improvements to optimize the financial reporting process.
8. Participating in special projects and performing ad hoc analysis as required.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, the candidate should have the following qualifications:
1. Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting or related field.
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree would be an added advantage.
3. Extensive knowledge of GAAP, SEC, and other relevant financial reporting regulations.
4. Property and Casualty Insurance Experience Required
5. Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in clear and concise terms.
7. Proficiency in financial reporting software and other relevant computer applications.
8. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
