Job Details
Financial Reporting Director Responsibilities
Manages and develops the financial reporting team, processes, and overall function.
Produces month-end financial reports and issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
Reviews drafts of financial statements and consolidation for compliance with US GAAP.
Reports, analyzes, and interprets financial and operating data for management and users of the financial statements.
Owns the financial reporting and related internal controls for significant estimates.
Maintains current understanding and robust knowledge of GAAP pronouncements, as well as other statutory reporting requirements and regulations.
Works outside the seat to improve operations that impact financial data.
Reviews financial data for accuracy; identifies problems and supports day-to-day operations.
Responsible for the Company’s adoption of new accounting standards including but not limited to researching standard, preparing written accounting policy for company, and preparing new disclosures.
Prepares and communicates monthly and quarterly reporting and analyses for executives and other leaders.
Supports policy development and offers advice regarding accounting and internal control issues, reporting needs, and policy review and changes.
Manages the annual external audit and other audits or agreed upon procedures.

Experience –
7 to 10 years’ experience in top-tier public accounting firm or robust reporting environment. Strong and extensive knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting; banking or finance industry a plus. Demonstrated experience in supervising and motivating subordinates. Experience with a SOX internal control environment.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in accounting or finance or equivalent; CPA license required.
Proficient in Oracle ERP, SQL and Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.
Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
