POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) role is critical in driving financial strategy and enhancing the overall financial performance of the company. Must possess deep analytical capabilities, strong business acumen, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments. This role will work with financial analysts to deliver actionable insights and support decision-making processes that align with our business goals.
Roles:
- Leads the preparation, consolidation, and review of all consolidated financial plans and forecasts to assist the executive management team with resource allocation and strategic decisions.
- Leads the functions and activities associated with providing financial planning, analysis, measurement, and decision support to other functional and operations teams of the Company.
- Drives development and implementation of enterprise-wide strategic financial and business intelligence systems and processes, and together with the information technology team, oversees the structure, storage, access, and processing of all financial and related analytic data used for the Company’s management reporting and financial analysis.
- Assists in preparation of executive and board of director level periodic reporting, including monthly and quarterly operating reviews.
Major Responsibilities or Assigned Duties:
- Respond to CFO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate the organization’s financial needs.
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Support the Quality Management initiatives as applicable.
- Support all Compliance program activities.
- Complete other duties as requested.
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute the financial planning and analysis strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
- Provide insights on financial performance, trends, and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders for use in daily decision making as well as building communications with and for the Company’s Board of Directors.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and operational plans.
- Prepare and maintain financial forecasts, analyzing variances and driving corrective actions as needed.
Performance Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure financial performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with various departments to provide financial insights that support strategic initiatives and operational efficiency.
- Act as a trusted advisor, offering financial guidance and support for project and investment decisions
Team Leadership:
- Manage, mentor, coach and deliver timely and critical feedback to the FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional development.
- Encourage innovative thinking and the use of advanced analytical tools and techniques.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement best practices in financial planning and analysis processes, leveraging technology to enhance reporting and analysis capabilities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting financial planning.
Requirements:
Skills and Experience:
- MBA, CPA, and/or other professional qualification preferred
- 7-10 years of combined accounting, financial planning and analysis, and financial operations
- Proven leadership and supervision skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Economics, or Mathematics
Work Environment:
Ability to sit at a desk, utilize a computer, telephone, and other basic office equipment is required. This role is designed to be a remote position (work-from-home).
