We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Financial Operations to join our Hospital Systems team in the Medical Industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and revenue. Responsibilities
- Lead the financial operations of our hospital systems, including budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and revenue.
- Utilize Strata decision support system to analyze financial data and make informed business decisions.
- Oversee the negotiation and management of payor contracts to ensure profitability and compliance.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other department heads to align financial management with short and long-term operational strategies.
- Provide financial reports to executive management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to financial operations.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for revenue enhancement.
- Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial operations, preferably in the hospital or healthcare industry.
- Proven experience with Strata or similar decision support system.
- Strong knowledge of hospital accounting, cost accounting, and budgeting.
- Experience in negotiating and managing payor contracts.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Knowledge of current financial regulations in the healthcare industry.
