Salary: $190k - $225k cash compensation

San Francisco based social justice philanthropic advisory startup seeks a Director of Finance to own both finance and accounting, and build out the budgeting, forecasting and planning function to scale with the development of the firm. The primary focus will be on the finance side with full oversight of the outsourced accounting function, and partner with the senior business leaders on their budgets.

This is a newly created role that will report into the CFO and work onsite 3 days a week in San Francisco. Targeting a Sr Manager or Associate Director looking for a step up in responsibilities. This role will be an individual contributor hands on role in the beginning, with exposure to senior management and the executive team. Must have advanced prior Adaptive experience to build out the budgets and models in the newly implemented system.

Requirements:

•   10-15 years finance experience in a growth company with experience building out the finance function and systems of a scaling firm.
•   Must have prior experience with oversight over accounting.
•   Prior Adaptive systems experience is required. Looking for an Adaptive super user who can build out the tool and train senior staff and executives on Adaptive.
•   Advanced Excel user with the ability to produce dynamic financial models.
•   Experience working with outsourced providers of accounting and/or other services is a plus.
•   Expert knowledge of financial statement analysis and finance concepts.
•   Experience assessing, implementing, and streamlining policies and procedures.
