We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Director of Finance with real estate experinece to join our team. This is a high-impact role, integral to our business, and offers a rewarding challenge for a driven individual with a strong financial acumen. The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and financial planning of our construction company. This role will play a crucial part in all financial decisions, including strategic planning, risk management, budgeting, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the financial operations of the organization, including the development and management of budgets, financial reporting, and data analysis.
2. Develop and implement financial strategies, financial planning, budgeting, and profitability analyses.
3. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
4. Evaluate and manage business risks, ensuring that the company's financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
5. Oversee the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
6. Coordinate and execute the financial planning and budget process, including the development of the annual budget.
7. Work closely with senior executives to coordinate strategic financial planning, and develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.
8. Conduct ongoing financial analysis, monitor performance, and prepare timely reports to assist the executive team in decision-making and strategic planning.
9. Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in financial management and financial planning.
4. Strong knowledge of financial analysis, risk management, and strategic planning.
5. Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
7. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
10. Strong business and financial acumen, with a deep understanding of financial data analysis and forecasting.

- Real-time financial performance reporting to investors and lender.

- Review of customer sales contracts.
- High degree of fluency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
- Collaborating at all levels with members of the development, sales, and finance teams.
