FULL TIME -- Director of Finance - oversees all Operations for North America
Base Salary $140k - 170k plus a 20% Bonus (excellent payout history!)
Must have experience in Manufacturing
SUMMARY
Directs the financial affairs of the corporation and prepares financial analysis of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management. The Director is responsible for the company’s financial plans and policies, relations with financial institutions, accounting practices, maintenance of fiscal records, and preparation of financial reports. The position involves supervision over general accounting, property accounting, cost accounting and budget preparation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, analyze, and interpret accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability and performance against budget.
Maintains the company’s system of accounts and keeps records of all company transactions and assets.
Furnishes internal reports, revises, and improves reports as necessary.
Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures (including the cost accounting system) and analyzes and reports variances.
Establishes major economic objectives and policies and prepares reports in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations.
Responsible for tax planning and compliance with federal, state, and local taxes and compliance of benefit plans.
Evaluates and recommends insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in all areas of accounting including general, cost, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and tax.
In depth working knowledge of financial systems and previous profit and loss responsibility
Ability to create team environment
Must be able to function in an independent environment
Possess excellent leadership ability
EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
At least 5 years’ experience in management and/or supervision in a manufacturing environment
