Role overview:
The Director of Finance at HERE Studio and De La Calle plays a key role in helping build the business by providing in-depth financial and analytical guidance. This person will be a key member of the executive team and will operate with a high level of independence and will be accountable for managing the finance and accounting deliverables. This senior finance professional is responsible for providing strategic support to the CEO and Executive team.
Responsibilities:
Full ownership of the financial model(s) and ability to work with executive leadership team to understand the intricate operational drivers of the business
Ability to provide strategic financial analysis by identifying KPIs and developing methods to measure and track against them with additional focus on industry analysis and industry-level metrics
Provide timely and accurate financials by owning financial close process from internal review to month summary completed by mid month
Provide strategic insights by combining experience in accounting with expertise in forecasting and modeling to help leverage past history to guide future decisions
Prepare department summary for quarterly board meeting and present to Board members
Support fundraising (equity/debt) due diligence process and understanding of various equity and debt instruments
Management of senior secured lender relationship and cash flow roll forwards
Prepare customer level PNLs to assess contribution margins against business profitability
Lead engagement with 3rd party accounting firm & internal accounting team members, providing mentorship and guidance
Knowledge of HR procedures, payroll & benefits structure, and business insurance
Live by the company values by demonstrating leadership through collaboration and knowledge sharing to instill a shared vision across the team
Qualifications:
8+ years in finance-focused roles
BA in Finance, Accounting or Economics
Solid experience in firms’ business operations and ability to set up systems and processes to ensure firm-wide controls
Superior financial modeling and presentation skills
Comfort with data and ambiguity, and an ability to delve into details and adapt priorities on the fly
Good communication skills with the ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations to team
Highly organized with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines and respond to ad-hoc requests to support business decisions in timely and efficient manner
Deep understanding of the workings of the CPG (ideally beverage) industries
Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000
