Job Details
Analyze organizational risks from accounting, finance, and operational perspectives, focusing on financial reporting and working capital management
Develop and monitor early warning systems for cost overruns and unbilled receivables
Establish and maintain critical financial reporting systems for executive decision-making
Lead cost variance analysis to identify trends and mitigate budget impacts
Contract & Revenue Management
Execute expert-level review of contract accounting, revenue recognition, and claims assessment
Evaluate contractual documents for proper change order and dispute notification compliance
Prepare technical accounting memoranda supporting revenue recognition decisions
Coordinate with legal counsel and claims consultants on dispute resolution and recovery assessment
Project Performance Oversight
Review technical and non-technical documentation to identify key financial and operational issues
Validate estimates-at-completion with project teams and analyze variances
Participate in quarterly business unit performance reviews
Monitor change order requests and cost overruns for budget compliance and accurate reporting
Required Expertise
Expert knowledge of long-term construction contract accounting
Strong analytical skills for financial and operational data interpretation
Ability to synthesize complex technical and financial information
Experience in construction project financial management and reporting
The role requires collaboration across business units, project teams, and corporate management to ensure effective financial risk management and project success.
