The Director of Finance will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, and adherence to financial regulations. This role demands exceptional analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage account reconciliation processes to maintain accurate financial records.
- Supervise accounts receivable functions to optimize cash flow and collections.
- Conduct cash flow analysis to support strategic decision-making and treasury management.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement effective financial controls and procedures.
- Prepare reports for senior management and stakeholders that provide insights into financial performance.
- Lead audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and best practices to ensure organizational compliance.
Experience
- Proven experience in a finance leadership role, preferably as a Director of Finance or similar position.
- Strong understanding of public accounting principles and practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in accrual accounting and governmental accounting standards.
- Experience with cash flow analysis, treasury management, and account reconciliation processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills for effectively presenting financial information to diverse audiences.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required; advanced certifications (e.g., CPA) are preferred.
- Must have experience in home health/hospice.
