Job Details
We are looking for a Finance Director to join our team as the head of our accounting & finance operations. You will oversee the financials multiple entities & work closely with the CEO as the top finance leader.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute financial and administrative protocols to facilitate the prompt and precise reporting of financial data and streamline administrative functions.
- Conduct training sessions and offer professional development opportunities for corporate and field personnel regarding financial and administrative policies and procedures.
- Advise on and implement necessary systems to ensure operational efficiency. Propose and execute modifications to systems when required.
- Oversee cash positions across all business entities to ensure adequate cash flow for current liabilities, debt services, capital projects, and other financial obligations.
- Supervise debt monitoring for all entities, strategizing for debt consolidations, renewals, and managing demand notes as they mature.
- Regularly review intercompany items to ensure accurate revenue and expense reporting within each of company's entities. Work towards reducing intercompany balances to mitigate tax implications.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Accountant to monitor payables on a weekly basis, determining the weekly payment schedule. Conduct monthly reviews of accounts payable for accuracy and record any significant Accrued Expenses.
- Perform monthly monitoring of prepaid insurances for all companies, specifically tracking Workers Compensation expenses based on a monthly allocation spreadsheet.
- Ensure timely estimated tax payments, plan for potential year-end tax obligations, and monitor overall profitability.
- Oversee Payroll and related processes, ensuring both timeliness and accuracy.
- Generate monthly financial reports for Vice Presidents and CEO to assess fiscal performance. Provide quarterly financial reports to the advisory board and furnish accurate financial data to tax accountants for tax planning purposes.
- Furnish required yearly reports to banks, including tax returns, financial reports, and personal financial reports.
- Manage and supervise Corporate Accounting staff, offering assistance with general accounting inquiries or concerns.-
- Provide necessary support to other Vice Presidents in developing precise and timely budget submissions.
- Conduct a quarterly review of shareholder loans and advances, working towards minimizing outstanding balances and ensuring timely repayments.
- Strategize for the parent company and establish and adhere to a documented process for calculating management fees charged to each subsidiary.
- Maintain the utmost integrity of the procurement process and rigorously safeguard the security of procurement data and company confidential information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years in managerial or lead finance role
- Bachelor's in Accounting
- Strong foundation in business tax
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of managerial finance & accounting experience
- CPA
- 5+ years of hands-on business tax experience
