We are in search of a seasoned financial strategist to join our team as the Director of Finance, a key leadership position driving our company's financial performance and growth. In this role, you will have overarching responsibility for all finance and accounting functions, providing insights that guide high-level decision-making and ensuring financial stability as we scale. Leveraging a strategic mindset, you will be instrumental in shaping financial policies, managing compliance, and fostering a results-driven finance culture. Your expertise will contribute directly to the long-term vision and success of our organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Strategic Leadership: Align financial strategy with business objectives, providing actionable insights to drive growth, manage risk, and enhance financial health.
· Budgeting & Reporting: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring data-driven decisions and analysis of trends and profitability.
· Financial Planning: Develop FP&A processes, scenario planning, and KPI tracking to support resource allocation.
· Cash & Capital Management: Optimize cash flow, working capital, and funding strategies; manage relationships with financial stakeholders.
· Accounting Oversight: Ensure accurate, compliant financial operations, including ledger management, payroll, tax, and reporting by finance team.
· Cost Management: Drive profitability through cost optimization and financial efficiency initiatives.
· Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
· Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with business units to align financial objectives with operational strategies.
· Financial Tool Development: Develop or leverage customized financial tools and models that are fit for purpose
· Technology Integration: Streamline processes through technology / automation, leveraging analytics for decision-making.
· Risk Management: Develop a framework to identify, mitigate, and monitor financial and operational risks.
· Special Projects: Lead financial due diligence, modeling, analysis for investment and expansion opportunities, and other strategic initiatives to enhance organizational performance.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (CPA or CFA designation strongly preferred; an MBA is a plus).
· 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with demonstrated success in a leadership role.
· Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and strategy, with strong knowledge of financial standards, GAAP/IFRS, and regulatory compliance.
· Expertise in financial software and advanced data analytics tools, with a commitment to technology-driven financial transformation.
· Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial insights to diverse audiences.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
