Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all financial operations within the company, including AP, AR, and payroll departments.
- Recruit, train, and manage staff across the finance and administration departments, ensuring a high level of competency and efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze costs, inventory, and expenses, identifying areas for potential savings and efficiency improvements.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, working closely with department heads to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Manage fixed assets and ensure accurate and timely financial statements and monthly reporting.
- Oversee facility management, ensuring all facilities are maintained and operated efficiently and effectively.
- Apply deep knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques to drive financial performance.
- Manage cash applications and collections, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proven experience managing AP, AR, and payroll departments, as well as recruiting and training staff.
- Strong experience in cost, inventory, and expense monitoring, as well as budget preparation.
- Experience with fixed assets, financial statements, and monthly reporting.
- Knowledge of facility management principles and practices.
- Deep knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
- Experience with cash applications and collections.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial management software. Experience with AS400 is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
