Discount Tire is looking to expand additional services within its current footprint, or through acquisition. As part of that expansion, Discount Tire is also looking to acquire/develop a platform that will enable the company to expand its current business from selling Tires, Wheels, and wiper blades to a full service after market model. The Director of Service Support for this newly created entity will help develop full-service operations of one or a group of businesses through acquisitions or build organically. In addition, this individual will work closely with Discount Tire’s RMOQ team to develop a technical certification program for any newly added services, starting with alignments.
The Director of Field Service Support is responsible for managing and directing all new service operations and sales functions for multiple areas around the country. To provide trusted expert Service advise to Senior Leadership and Store sales team in the most inviting, easy, and safe way to create more happy employees, and customers while selling more, selling better, and managing expense.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop new standards and best practices that support any new services that are part of the full-service model. Help develop new full-service gauges and specific technical AOR’s to help set up the win
- Work closely with RMOQ and L&D to develop new technical certification levels that support any new services related to the full-service model
- Work closely with our largest fleet customers to support their needs for technical repair related to both EV and AV’s
- Implement and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Oversees the interviewing, selection, training, and evaluation of store personnel. Asist and maintain the most qualified candidates that meet the requirements of the appropriate job description that will align with our corporate culture. Personnel management and leadership.
- Meet with direct reports on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.) to communicate company information including new initiatives, financial performance, goals and objectives, benchmarks, and best practices.
- Safeguard company assets thru internal controls and systems and personal involvement in daily operations. Conduct store tours, store operational reviews and auditing internal controls.
- Improve profitability by increased sales and market share and expense control. Manage toward a positive cash flow by achieving sales forecast, maintaining payroll costs within budget, controlling operating expenses and managing all corporate assets including accounts receivable and inventory.
- Facilitate customer training seminars in conjunction with manufacturers.

Qualifications:
- 10-15 years in the automotive service industry.
- ASE Certified Specialist/Master
Education:
- Associates Degree required in business administration, marketing, operations management or similar.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in business administration, marketing, operations management or similar.
