Pay Range: $115,000 - $125,000; plus the potential of a 20% annual bonus and DFS commission plan.
What makes an AFF Director of Field Sales:
- Oversees the execution of the Merchant Growth Strategy and the ASR Playbook for the assigned regions.
- Engages with Top Regional Merchants to achieve specific growth and profitability targets for each partnership.
- 3Plays a major part in the recruitment, training, and coaching of all sales personnel in collaboration with each RSD to ensure the ASR Playbook is executed throughout the assigned regions.
- A “Player-Coach” that will travel 50-75% in the field monthly with Regional Sales Directors & Sales Team members facilitating merchant accountability discussions with the most challenging partnerships in each region.
- Attending Regional Trade shows, Group Meetings and Presentations delivering a first-class customer experience that represents AFF’s Core Values.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and develop Regional Sales Directors, Area Sales Representatives (ASR) & Field Support Specialists (FSS) in the assigned regions.
- Ensures effective and efficient use of AFF’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools for all regional sales personnel.
- Consult business owners by listening to their needs and educating them on how American First Finance can help them capture additional customers and increase same store sales.
- Create, foster, and grow relationships with existing clients by ensuring elevated levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct Field observations with RSD, ASR and FSS Field Team members for the assigned regions.
- Provide consistent support for each region in the launching and training of key merchants.
- Coach all Sales Team Members to conduct effective business reviews throughout the region to develop meaningful partnerships with key account contacts by offering best practices that improve performance.
- Evaluate and communicate key data analytics information with Region Sales Directors to ensure maximum sales strategy impact.
- Collaborate and communicate with internal departments such as Marketing, Training, Merchant Care and Sales Operations on all needs, opportunities, and initiatives.
- Optimal management of regional expense budgets and resources to ensure ROI (Return on Investment).
- Demonstrate honesty and integrity while modeling behaviors consistent with company standards and policies for business and compliance related matters.
- Be accountable for meeting and/or exceeding established sales goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High energy, great organization skills and uncompromising Integrity.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 10 years of proven sales management experience or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Demonstration of sustained, high performance in current position and strong aptitude for learning.
- Experience in building and leading successful teams in a commission-based sales environment.
- Financial Acumen- ability to manage budgets and resources effectively and efficiently for high impact.
- Understands the value of metrics and has analytical capabilities to use data to drive increased market penetration and market opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal constituencies, such as Marketing, Training, Trade, and Sales Operations to achieve corporate objectives
- High sense of urgency and customer service orientation.
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand market opportunities.
- Ability to thrive in a highly driven culture that is performance based, fast paced, and results oriented .
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams & Power BI).
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and car insurance for travel within assigned regions.
Preferred Experience:
- Extensive experience in B2B sales management, leading sales presentations, negotiation & closing.
- Extensive experience in retail consumer finance, merchant services, or SaaS.
