Job Summary and Qualifications
- Effectively allocates financial, physical and human resources to ensure that operations are effective and efficient.
- Effectively interprets and acts upon budget reports.
- Completes a cost/benefits analysis on business plans.
- Implements effective cost containment strategies.
- Advances organizational mission.
- Ensures Department provides positive customer service.
- Identifies critical changes required to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Establishes clear Operational Unit goals and hold staff accountable for their responsibilities and performance.
- Complies with professional regulations.
- Safety Officer for the facility.
- Maintains facility operational budgetary requirements including utilities.
- Maintains regulatory requirements with Federal, State and Local agencies including but not limited to Texas Commission on Environment Quality (TQEC), NFPA, TJC, CMS, TDH, OSHA and DOT. Acts as a Liaison with local fire, police and building officials. Maintains company standards for Healthy Work Environment initiatives.
- Emergency Management oversight.
- Co-chairs the Environment of Care Committee.
- Acts as Section 504 Coordinator and point of contact for ADA issues.
- Responsible for selection and coordination of all maintenance service contractors and for coordinating with Corporate Construction; insures that contractual provisions and Hospital construction schedules are met and satisfy established standards of hospital policy and government regulations and codes; acts as liaison among Hospital Administrators, Engineers and Architects in conjunction with new construction projects.
- Supervises and directs assigned staff to include interviewing and hiring new staff, evaluating work performance, counseling, disciplining, and terminating and participating in the adjustment of employee grievances.
What qualifications you will need:
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilities management.
EDUCATION:
- High School graduate. College graduate preferred.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- CHFM or CHSP preferred or must obtain certification within first year of employment.
- Must be able to utilize project tracking mechanisms including MS Project or equivalent. Auto CAD application experience preferred.
