Job Title: Director of Engineering – Digital Experiences

SUMMARY:

As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for building and maintaining digital products to help companies accelerate their decarbonization journey and provide reliable sustainability data as a single-source-of-truth across the enterprise, augmented with best-in-class analytics and optimized tooling.

• Lead a world-class distributed team constructing and integrating intuitive web platforms leveraging big data and analytical technologies.
• Define the long-term technical vision and strategy to inspire the organization around the shared vision for success.
• Establish and track clear, useful metrics to focus on important objectives and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure high-quality code by creating and enforcing technical standards and quality assurance processes.
• Partner closely with product managers and designers to understand requirements and prioritize work into an Engineering Roadmap.
• Drive technical and business operational excellence overseeing the platform's DevOps function.

The pay range for this role is: $108,800 - $182,850, based on several factors including background, experience, and skills.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Position Reports to: Head of Digital

Direct Reports: Digital experience technical leads

JOB FAMILY: IT – Software Engineering

FLSA CLASS: Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in SaaS software engineering.
• Experience with modern web development and web-scale architectures.
• 7+ years of experience leading and managing an engineering team.
• Proven success in test automation and DevOps.
• Track record of delivering technology products on time and on budget.
• Experience with full product life cycle using Agile methodologies.
• Detail-oriented and data-minded.
• Ability to collaborate, mentor, and treat colleagues with respect.
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills/Abilities:

• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively work as part of a global team.
• Familiarity with Cloud technologies (AWS).
• Energy and/or ESG familiarity is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Hybrid in 2024 with three days per week onsite.
• <10% travel expected.
