DIRECTOR OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The Director of Project Management holds the ultimate responsibility for the financial success of projects. The Director of Project Management is responsible for the daily operations of the project management team including managing budgets, adherence to schedules, client communications, and contract review, as well as developing strong positive relationships with employees, vendors, and business partners. The Director of Project Management works in tandem with the Manager of Field Operations to ensure safe and successful jobsite teams and project completion.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Report directly to the President and collaborate with multiple departments as well as the Executive Leadership Team. This position is the communication liaison between Leadership and the Project Management team members.
· Maintain a finger on the pulse of all projects to ensure budgets and procurement are tracking to meet expected fees.
· Provide management of, and mentorship for, Project Management team members and the associated Administrative Assistants
· Conduct regular meetings with individual project managers to ensure projects are on track, processes are being followed, and Purchase Orders / Submittals / Change Orders, etc. are being processed in a timely fashion.
· Share working knowledge of the construction industry to elevate project management, closeout and overall employee understanding of our industry.
· Adhere to company processes and play an active role in developing strategies related to process improvements for efficiency and profit, as well as cost reductions.
· Participate in hiring, training, discipline, termination, and performance appraisals for all Project Managers and associated Administrative Assistants
· Attend internal hand off meetings with Project Manager, Manager of Field Operations, Field Supervisor, and Pre-Construction Manager to provide input on budget, schedule, products, workforce, supervision, logistics, etc.
· Allocate projects fairly between project managers to ensure equal workloads as best as possible.
· Ensure project managers and administrative assistants receive necessary training in a timely manner.
· Visit jobsites to confirm status, quality, addresses issues, alert team of potential concerns, etc.
· Other related job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s Degree or Related Work Experience
· 10 years minimum commercial construction industry experience
· Demonstrated minimum 8 years of experience managing construction teams.
· OSHA 30 required (can be obtained within 60 days of hire)
· Understanding of compliance risk management to meet or exceed compliance with union agreements, M/WBE, CCIP/OCIP, Bonding, Prevailing Wage, and other workforce requirements.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
