Faber-Castell USA is looking for a dynamic Director of eCommerce Sales to join our growing organization. Based in our brand-new state-of-the-art facility in Independence, Ohio, the Director of eCommerce Sales will be a strategic and results-driven leader with proven expertise in driving eCommerce success across platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Instacart, Michaels, Lowes, and more.
This role requires deep knowledge of Amazon operations, advertising strategies, vendor negotiations, and a strong track record of achieving measurable results across multiple retail channels. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience managing P&L, implementing omnichannel marketing strategies, and optimizing eCommerce performance to achieve growth and expand our market presence.
This unique opportunity is a hybrid position providing the flexibility of on-site and remote work. 3 days per week on-site work is required. Faber-Castell USA prioritizes health & safety, providing a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
eCommerce Strategy and Implementation:
- Develop and execute a full eCommerce business strategy across multiple retail channels, including Amazon, Walmart, Target, Instacart, Michaels, Lowes, and more.
- Oversee national retail, specialty ecommerce, owned DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) websites, B2B platforms, and subscription box channels to ensure consistent growth and alignment with business objectives.
Financial Accountability:
- Manage P&L for the Amazon business, including annual vendor negotiations (AVN), promotional planning, merchandising, product launches, and advertising strategy.
- Establish and achieve monthly and yearly ROI sales targets and demand plans for all eCommerce accounts.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage an in-house eCommerce engagement team responsible for branding, optimization, email marketing, lead generation, data integrity, and on-site merchandising.
- Direct key account online retail efforts, including product detail page optimization and eCommerce graphics.
- Support DTC website management, compliance, social media management, and email marketing campaigns.
Marketing Strategy:
- Develop and oversee multi-retail channel advertising strategies, collaborating with external resources for full-funnel marketing execution.
- Drive branding and marketing initiatives tailored to specific retail channels, ensuring brand consistency and growth.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Utilize competitive category and trend data to identify growth opportunities and inform business strategies.
- Ensure data integrity within PIM (Product Information Management) systems and leverage insights for optimization.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop omnichannel go-to-market strategies by category and customer segment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business goals and deliver innovative solutions for emerging retail channels.
Brand Protection and Compliance:
- Maintain and enforce brand protection standards across key online retail channels.
- Ensure all digital assets comply with platform and company guidelines.
Business Development:
- Identify and establish new business relationships with emerging eCommerce accounts to expand market presence.
- Explore new retail channels to drive business growth and capitalize on untapped opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in eCommerce strategy, retail channel management, or a similar role.
- Proven track record of managing P&L and driving revenue growth across platforms like Amazon, Walmart, Target, and other major retailers.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in Amazon business operations, advertising strategy, and vendor negotiations.
- Familiarity with DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) website management, digital marketing, and omnichannel strategies.
- Analytical mindset with experience leveraging competitive and trend data to inform strategies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
