About the Job
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan that aligns with the Company's mission, vision, and strategic priorities
- Lead efforts to expand and diversify revenue streams, including annual giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation partnerships, and planned giving
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations
- Create and manage a structured program for donor recognition and stewardship, ensuring donors feel valued and informed about the impact of their contributions
- Build and maintain relationships with key donors, prospective donors, alumni, and community leaders
- Lead one-on-one meetings with high-capacity donors to secure gifts and grow long-term relationships
- Coordinate donor engagement activities, including site visits, special events, and exclusive gatherings
- Lead and manage the Development team, including overseeing the annual fund, events coordination, donor relations, and alumni affairs
- Collaborate with senior leadership and Board members to create and implement a culture of philanthropy throughout the school community
- Advise and support the Head of School and Board on development strategy, including identifying fundraising goals and priorities
- Plan and oversee fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and community outreach initiatives
- Engage the alumni network, ensuring strong connections and creating opportunities for alumni involvement and giving
- Maintain accurate donor records in the donor database (e.g., Raiser's Edge, DonorPerfect) and provide regular reports on progress toward fundraising goals
- Analyze fundraising data and trends to continuously improve strategy and enhance donor engagement efforts
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience in nonprofit fundraising and/or business development
- Demonstrated success at securing funding through individual gifts, grants, sponsorships, events, campaigns, and/or sales
- Demonstrated success building relationships with funders and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and projects
- -Boots on the ground- mentality, ability to hit the ground running
- Will be a one person shop so need to be able to work independently
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
