Job Details
The ideal candidate will be an outgoing relationship-builder that is responsible for all partnerships and fundraising related to the organization. The Director is responsible for planning, directing & managing all aspects of the Development, Public Relations and Marketing office, as well as implementing a comprehensive development program that includes planning fundraising events, capital campaigns, annual appeals, planned giving and grant writing.
Responsibilities
Examine the operational structure of the Development Office to make recommendations to cause the Development Office to be more cost-effective and efficient
Educate other departments in the facility about ways in which grants can be obtained to underwrite budgeted items.
Represent Company to donors, potential donors, endowment, grant funding agencies, and other foundations and organizations.
Obtain and prepare grant applications for various organizations and foundations to support new programs that provide for equipment and the facility's operational needs.
Direct fundraising campaigns; develop short and long-term plans and strategies to achieve fundraising goals; educate and inform prospects on the philanthropic and tax advantages associated with supporting the facility; and coordinate all facility-related fundraising projects
Develop, organize, and implement current and long-range fundraising programs and goals subject to the approval of the Board of Director
Develop, organize, and implement current and long-range marketing programs and goals subject to approval.
Promote the facility to potential donors, grant agencies, endowment funding agencies, and other foundations and organizations.
Develop a planned giving program, annual appeal program, and other fundraising ventures
Plan and execute fundraising events
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent
Strong organizational skills
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
3 years of Fundraising experience
Preferably experience using The Raiser’s Edge fundraising software.
