Job Summary
The Director of Credit and Accounts Receivable is responsible for the overall management of the Credit Department of Hogan Truck Leasing, Inc. This includes setting and achieving goals and objectives related to collections of customer accounts receivable; performing analysis of customer relationships and setting/maintaining appropriate credit line status; overseeing review of and decision on customer credit requests specific to long term vehicle lease contracts; working in tandem with the sales team on overall strategy specific to client communication and relationships; and providing leadership, mentorship and overall direction to the department.
**BASED IN OFFICE IN ST. LOUIS**
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Leads the Credit team
• Directs team to meet collection goals, measures and reports various collection metrics
• Works with third party agencies including legal and collection to discuss debt recovery strategies and options
• Exercises credit control, financial analysis and leadership and sets the overall direction of the team
• Implements proactive processes to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables
• Develops policies specific to customer review, extension of credit lines, risk management, and collections
• Reviews industry specific insurance regulations and best practices, provides oversight and review of
current risk management policies and practices, and develops plans of perpetual improvement in the area of risk
• Oversees negotiation and course of action taken for past due accounts
• Provides day-to-day mentorship and development of the team
• Provides frequent and periodic updates to the CFO on the credit portfolio, current and future
risk assessment, and on various department and staff objectives
• Provides periodic updates and reports to the Executive Leadership Team
• Develops key metrics specific to the overall performance of the department
• Is active in developing and furthering knowledge specific to the truck leasing and rental industry and various best practices therein
• Other duties as assigned
Reguirements
• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years of experience in the contract lease/rental industry preferred
• 5+ years of Credit/Collections managerial experience
• Knowledge and understanding of finance and commercial insurance (liability and physical damage)
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management Software and with D&B a plus
