Who we want:
The Director of Corporate Philanthropy will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to secure funding for United Way and promote year-round engagement with corporate partners through employee giving, corporate gifts, sponsorships, grants, volunteerism, CSR activations, and more. You will own a portfolio of accounts that represents approximately 20% of the unrestricted revenue goals for the Resource Development team. You will manage the Corporate Philanthropy team with a focus on mentoring and coaching to ensure the team's overall success and annual revenue goal achievement. To achieve these goals, you will participate on the Resource Development Leadership Team, and collaborate closely with leaders in Marketing, Finance, and Impact, as needed.

What you'll do:
- Manage the Corporate Philanthropy team with a focus on mentoring and coaching to ensure the team's overall success and annual revenue goal achievement.
- Support the Corporate Philanthropy team with strategic account management and lead and/or participate in cultivation and stewardship meetings with team members as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the RD Leadership Team to grow revenue and increase the corporate donor base.
- Strategize with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing on the long-term trajectory of the Corporate Philanthropy team's revenue goals work, corporate product sales efforts and connect strategy to tactical and actionable steps.
- Develop, lead, and activate the Corporate Team's annual strategy for workplace campaigns and employee giving.
- Input and track all outreach and fundraising activities in Salesforce and ensure SOP compliance of the Corporate Philanthropy team
- Partner with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing to ensure that United Way staff understands corporate philanthropy product lines and engagement opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Grants Team to co-author and provide feedback on proposals and applications for Corporate funders.
- Create and implement innovative activations to increase corporate engagement through fundraising and recognition.
- Serve as the United Way leader for assigned portfolio companies and stay informed on United Way's overall engagement with each portfolio company.
- Build a pipeline of new corporate funding prospects through research, Board Relations, and other community outreach.
- Cultivate and steward existing and new relationships to move through the pipeline to closed won opportunities.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Fundraising, account management, or sales experience is preferred
- Experience with Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or other fundraising CRM software
- Strong problem-solving skills; ability to operate professionally under a variety of working conditions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
- Strong team building skills; ability to work well with staff in all departments; comfortable working with diverse groups
- Maintains a positive, solutions-focused approach despite external situations

This position is located in Austin, Texas, and reports directly to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
