Position Description
The Director of Corporate Accounts (DCA) will create and manage the strategic relationships and contractual opportunities between Integrated Healthcare Networks (IHN) and Applied Medical. The DCA will be responsible for delivering Applied Medical’s mission at as high a level as possible inside the IHN to clear the way for all product lines and programs.
In collaboration with all Applied Medical teams, the DCA will develop and manage strategic sales plans for each IHN to satisfy predefined short-term and long-term goals.
Responsibilities:
The DCA will work within the framework of a team and conduct the following activities:
- Develop a strategic plan that meets the short-term and long-term business requirements of the customer and Applied Medical and effectively disseminate the plan in collaboration with Field Implementation and other support teams
- Conduct research in order to uncover and document evidence to support Applied Medical’s market position as it relates to the customer’s needs
- Establish key performance indicators to be measured against the business plan
- Set meetings with key, influential executives of large health systems to communicate and discuss Applied Medical’s value proposition in the market
- Conduct research and analysis of the account and surrounding market conditions, properly assess the data and information collected, and provide recommendations to senior management to improve outcomes
- Identify and develop Applied Medical “champions” within each health system network
- Establish trust and optimism in C-level relationships and Applied Medical’s Field Implementation team
- Provide a quarterly review to senior management, analyzing the progress made in accomplishing short-term and long-term business objectives
- Effectively negotiate and execute contracts on behalf of Applied Medical
Position Requirements
- Must possess the ability to comprehend the business climate of the IHN, including the short-term and long-term goals of each hospital within the network, and navigate obstacles that impact business objectives at the C-level
- 3-5 years proven track record calling on C-level positions within healthcare hospital networks to influence decisions in contract negotiations and purchasing commitments
- Ability to create effective business plans that include SWOT analysis based on factual evidence
- Strategic business sense with the aptitude to create and implement sales processes based on the changing needs of the customer and climate
- Ability to leverage current business relationships and support team interaction to increase the chances of conversion throughout the network
- Strong conviction about Applied Medical’s business model in collaboration with identifying customer issues and providing accurate and dependable solutions for long-term results
- Strong ability to understand and navigate the changing healthcare environment
- Demonstrate problem solving capabilities in a complex business environment
- Strong conviction, influential personality, diligence, humility and integrity
- Willingness to travel as needed; extensive travel may be required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and visual presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Applied Medical Field Team Members must be able to meet third party credentialing requirements, which may include but are not limited to COVID-19 vaccination.
Benefits
The base compensation range for this role is $115,000 - $120,000 / year for the position in the New England area. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in the area based on the date of this job posting.
