Are you a dynamic professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for high-end commercial construction? We are seeking an experienced Director of Construction/PM (Build an Office) to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to drive the success of our construction projects, while fostering a positive and productive culture within our team. The ideal candidate will be a culture leader, a visionary, and a skilled construction project manager with a proven track record in high-rise and commercial construction.
Responsibilities:
As the Director of Construction/PM (Build an Office), you will be responsible for the following:
- Overseeing all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation, ensuring they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Managing a team of construction professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Serving as a Culture Curator, promoting a positive work environment that values diversity, inclusion, and respect.
- Ensuring all projects are in compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other relevant policies and standards.
- Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project goals are met.
- Regularly reporting project status to stakeholders, making necessary adjustments to ensure the project stays on track and within budget.
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues that could impact the success of the project.
- Establishing strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure a seamless construction process.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, specifically in high-rise and commercial construction.
- Proven experience as a director in the construction industry, with a strong ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing high-end construction projects, with a keen eye for quality and detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project goals and expectations to a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues before they escalate.
- A deep understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and other relevant policies and standards in the construction industry.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
