Are you a dynamic professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for high-end commercial construction? We are seeking an experienced Director of Construction/PM (Build an Office) to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to drive the success of our construction projects, while fostering a positive and productive culture within our team. The ideal candidate will be a culture leader, a visionary, and a skilled construction project manager with a proven track record in high-rise and commercial construction.
Responsibilities:
As the Director of Construction/PM (Build an Office), you will be responsible for the following:
1. Overseeing all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation, ensuring they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
2. Managing a team of construction professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
3. Serving as a Culture Curator, promoting a positive work environment that values diversity, inclusion, and respect.
4. Ensuring all projects are in compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other relevant policies and standards.
5. Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project goals are met.
6. Regularly reporting project status to stakeholders, making necessary adjustments to ensure the project stays on track and within budget.
7. Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues that could impact the success of the project.
8. Establishing strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure a seamless construction process.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, specifically in high-rise and commercial construction.
2. Proven experience as a director in the construction industry, with a strong ability to lead and inspire a team.
3. Demonstrated expertise in managing high-end construction projects, with a keen eye for quality and detail.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project goals and expectations to a diverse team.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues before they escalate.
6. A deep understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and other relevant policies and standards in the construction industry.
7. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.
8. A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
