Director of Compensation - Open Door Family Medical Center

About the Job
Open Door is currently seeking a Director of Compensation (hybrid). This position provides leadership, guidance and customer focus in all areas related to HR and compensation from both an operational and strategic perspective. Oversees compensation for Open Door Family Medical Centers. Secondarily, this role functions as HR generalist for a segment of the employee population including handling employee relations, recruitment, management development and support. This position reports to the Chief Talent Officer. This role will be based in Tarrytown, NY and is hybrid following a 90-day orientation period.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure HR compensation plans support the needs of the business but are also flexible enough to cope with changes in the organization and marketplace.
Ensure staff receives performance appraisals in accordance with company policy. Ensure appropriate training with respect to compensation, compensation policy and its relationship to annual performance review.
Ensure all compensation policies and procedures are communicated appropriately and are interpreted and applied consistently across the organization.
Ensure timely market studies to keep established salary ranges competitive.
Provide day to day advice to line managers on compensation and policy issues: management of staff, policy interpretation, etc.
Provide HR colleagues with compensation guidance.
Support HR generalists in annual merit review process and ensure adherence to budget and guideline recommendations.
Conduct adverse impact analysis on annual merit increases and promotions.
Design and oversee annual bonus plans and documentation.
Partner with CFO and CTO in review of annual benefit renewal proposals and recommend changes to plans when appropriate.
Ensure that staff questions are addressed in a timely manner with respect to compensation.
Ensure management requests are addressed in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements including federal, state and local law.
Function as HR generalist for a department including employee relations, recruitment, management development and support, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree required; Masters degree in Human Resources Management preferred
Certification in SPHR or PHR strongly preferred
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in compensation
Experience with clinical bonus plans preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as HR generalist
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Advanced knowledge of HRIS systems, experience with Paycom preferred
Ability to inspire confidence of the senior leadership team through timely delivery of consistent, accurate information, and plans
