Summary:
This position is responsible for engaging all aspects of the community with the goal of increasing membership.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Engages in tasks leading to membership growth and retention
- Maintain membership database, ensuring critical information is available and current
- Providing support for annual campaigns, special events, and other initiatives
- Builds authentic internal and external relationships designed to optimize service delivery that addresses members needs and encourages entities and/or individuals to become members
- Ensures excellent customer service to the membership base, and exemplary relationships with members, volunteers, community organizations, and local businesses
- Assist the support teams day-to-day operations, answering questions, and providing help where necessary
- Perform administrative and office tasks including billing in support of the membership department
- Function as a liaison between program staff, members, and the community
- Assist new and renewing members with payment and receipts
- Assist members with online registration and general account set-up
- Performs functions required to conduct Reception Desk and Customer Service duties
- Required to work a flexible schedule to cover for emergency absences and vacations
- Work weekends and evenings as needed for community networking purposes, and to represent the agency at community events
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing
- Ability to focus and perform work efficiently
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
- Basic knowledge of Jewish values and holidays
$55,000 - $65,000
Agency Information:The Suffolk Y JCc is a social service agency concerned with individual growth through meaningful group experiences. The JCC serves as a common meeting place for the entire Jewish community. It cooperates with all groups concerned with enriching and enhancing Jewish communal life.
