Position Summary
The Director of Clinical Services reports directly to the Director of Behavioral Health at our client’s local service site. This individual will perform direct services and supervise the therapy and outreach/group activities for veteran’s programs both on community college campuses and in our clients local housing programs. This will include strategic planning, outreach efforts with partners (e.g., local Universities, Community Colleges, and Military Installations), program management and evaluation, and assuring that the clinical and administrative functions are integrated to provide optimum utilization of resources.

The Director of Clinical Services reports directly to the Director of Behavioral Health at our client’s local service site. This will include strategic planning, outreach efforts with partners (e.g., local Universities, Community Colleges, and Military Installations), program management and evaluation, and assuring that the clinical and administrative functions are integrated to provide optimum utilization of resources.
Responsibilities
- Management of the Veteran’s outreach program operations and supervision of all clinical staff and interns
- Develop and organize new therapy groups in the community college setting with the use of both interns and vet-to-vet therapy concepts
- Provide a full range of psycho-diagnostic services and evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches to veterans, and manage completion by staff and interns
- Interview and assess the needs and services needed by veterans, and manage completion by staff and interns
- Create and assist in the creation of therapeutic plan and/or intervention for veterans, and ensure completion by staff and interns
- Provide or coordinate training to staff and interns on PTSD and other mental health identification and treatment approaches
- Manage clinical intern program, including recruiting, training, scheduling, and directly supervising interns as needed, to ensure each intern receives required clinical supervision
- Build, establish, and maintain relationships and coordinate services at college campuses
- Manage database of veterans served and outcomes achieved to include standard Outside the Wire program outcomes and any other required reporting of funders
- Analyze program performance and client satisfaction for ongoing quality assurance
- Prepare and submit monthly reports on progress and challenges, and as requested by
- Maintain client files and ensuring audit-ready files for all participants
- Participate in compiling and submitting grant reports, with the support of the Operations and Fiscal Departments
- Assist with ensuring compliance in administering program
- Maintain confidentiality required
- Build and establish relationships with community organizations with the goal of locating groups and services that could benefit the clients
- Outreach and present to local military bases and installations, universities, community colleges and VA facilities
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Independent professional licensure, LCSW, LMFT or LPC and requirements to supervise master level students, at a minimum.
- At least a master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related human services field from an accredited graduate program. The specialty area of the degree must be consistent with the assignment for which the applicant is to be employed.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience using evidenced-based therapies strongly preferably with the veteran population
- At least 2 years in a leadership, management, or supervisory role required
- Ability to work independently and within a team at various locations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer and information systems
- Professional manner and appearance
- Ability to take general direction, work independently and within a team
- Ability to work effectively with diverse group of clients, staff, and community members
- Ability to travel locally between program sites as needed as well as periodic national travel for conferences/training. Valid driver’s license required. If driving company vehicles, must meet company insurance requirements and complete a provided driver training course.
