We are currently seeking candidates for a full-time Director of Clinical Operations to join the team in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will be working with adults undergoing treatment for mental health and/or substance abuse.

Job Summary:
The Operations Director is responsible for overseeing all facility and physical plant operations. This position is also responsible for providing supervision and support to the departments which fall under “Operations”, which includes, Behavioral and Mental Health Technicians, Maintenance & Janitorial, and Kitchen. The Operations Manager is responsible for: Overseeing, directing, and implementing all administrative, functional, and program operations of the organization’s Non-Clinical and Non-Medical departments and processes.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervises leadership of the Behavioral Health and Operational Service line.
- Serve as the point of contact to the Compliance Department of reporting of Environment of Care
- Plans, directs, and monitors structural changes in the program.
- Assesses and communicates overall productivity, operations, and cost efficiency of services.
- Directs and Advises staff on the workflow of daily operations.
- Coordinates the evening and weekend on-call rotation schedule. Acts as on-call supervisor if necessary during weekdays and provides back-up support for weekend staff as needed.
- Assists the Clinical and Medical Directors with facility operational decisions.
- Resolve facility physical and procedural deficiencies.
- Makes decisions on staff hiring/dismissal with input from the Clinical, Medical, and Operational Leadership team.
- Participates in the development of documents for staff orientation and training for all staff in regard to Environment.
- Maintains compliance with HIPAA regulations, Joint Commission policies, as well as State specific requirements.
- Periodically assesses information based on the indicators, acting as evidenced through performance improvement initiatives to solve problems and pursue opportunities to improve overall quality of the physical plant and its operations.
- Establishes and supports specific performance improvement initiatives in the area of Environment, Safety, and Emergency.
- Reports to the Compliance Team on performance improvement activities on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Provides mentorship to staff through demonstration, sharing knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Monitors the performance of staff, including professional standards of practice.
- Works with staff on performance improvement when areas of deficiency are identified.
- Plans for identified training and educational needs of staff; Communicates training needs to Leadership.
- Develop and manage yearly service line budget.
- Monitors revenues and expenses in order to operate within the approved budget.
- Submits required accounting records and associated reports.
- Responsible for service line oversight and communication with project management.
- Responsible for operational effectiveness to meet organizational goals.
- Assist accounting with the creation of annual operating plans and budgets, and assess outcomes
- Provide analyses that identify and address operational challenges and opportunities
- Build organizational leadership capacity
- Provide support to various organizational departments including human resources, clinical, and medical
- Leads in the execution of the organization's mission and vision
- Assess reports on all safety and incident issues on at least a monthly basis
- Chairs and communicates action plans to staff regarding the proceedings of the Environment of Care Committee, and Emergency Operations Planning.
Education and Experience:
- Masters Degree in Mental Health or Social Work
- Licensure/Certification: LCSW or LPC in NC
- 3-5 years experience in supervision and management
