We are on the lookout for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and seasoned professional to fill the role of Permanent Director of Clearing Operations within our fast-paced and innovative financial company. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our financial transactions and will oversee all aspects of clearing operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of FINRA regulations, Series 27, and Clearing Operations.
Responsibilities:
As the Permanent Director of Clearing Operations, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of clearing operations, ensuring the smooth execution of financial transactions.
2. Ensure compliance with FINRA regulations and other relevant financial policies and procedures.
3. Develop and implement strategic plans for the clearing operations department, aligning with the broader goals of the company.
4. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, instilling a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
5. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of clearing operations.
6. Manage relationships with external partners and vendors, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
7. Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in regulations, adapting operational strategies as necessary.
8. Resolve any operational issues that arise, troubleshooting and implementing solutions in a timely manner.
9. Prepare and present reports on the performance and activities of the clearing operations department to senior management.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for the Permanent Director of Clearing Operations role should possess the following qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in clearing operations or a similar role in the finance industry.
2. Profound knowledge and understanding of FINRA regulations.
3. Hold a Series 27 license or equivalent.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions.
6. Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to align operational strategies with broader company goals.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships with external partners and vendors.
8. Strong understanding of the financial industry and current trends.
9. Proficient in the use of financial software and systems.
10. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional certifications would be a plus.
